... omigod ... I am soo tired. I cannot wrap my mind around how the guys at Seelie Court do not go screaming mad from sleep deprivation and exhaustion ... I am only in my second of three weekends in a row of over-stimulation, people-overload and exhaustion .. and I am already kind of loopy. And most of them also work full time jobs in addition to their spiritual roles which are substantial.
In addition to my prayers for belladonnas_web family in Nicaragua, I am also praying for the sanity and stamina of all the folks at the daddy enclave. And that includes hernesman and montuhotep. Love you guys ...
In other news, Delores was delightful as usual and I just loved her rituals although we seldom had time for one to settle before charging off to the next. Her pathworkings were also amazing and I got some ideas for my own work ... students be afraid ... very afraid. This year we got to keep the ritual outlines which is cool.
Many folks are confused, IMNSHO, as to why it is so important to attend one of her weekends ... it is not the instruction ... there is very little ... it is not even the rituals per se cuz most folks would have trouble figuring out what they are intended to do ... till much much later ... no ... to me the greatest gift is her presence and her example.
She is one of the rare elders in the craft who has linkages to our past as a religion. Being in her presence helps me (and all of us) to mature and evolve.
Her rituals have a power and a resonance that is remarkable ... it is because no matter who is reading, even if it helps that the person has a clue, the magic "happens" cuz she is present.
In this world of warm body theories and other nonsense that just "anybody" can do just about anything ... it is so wonderful to be in the presence of a true master.
No, sometimes imagination and creativity is not enough ... you have to know what you are doing.... OR be in the presence of someone who knows what they are doing and you follow their instruction.
And I am real clear that in Dolores' presence ... I follow her instruction. In fact, it is such a relief for me to know that with her I can relinquish the role I find myself in more often than not.
And I am not even going to go into my rant about elders ... I am way too tired to go there at the moment ...
I call upon all my patrons and allies to pray for Dolores' and for that matter Shakmah's health and well-being. And I pray also for the health and stamina of the priests, priestesses and elders of the Assembly of the Sacred Wheel. And finally I pray for all those in the path of the storms but most esp for the family of belladonnas_web.
And now for my second cup of tea and some cuddling time with a special calico before getting back to work myself ....
