Conte Priola delle Venezie, Italy, 2009, Total Wine $8.

Dangerously drinkable. Soft body, no strong flavors(tannins, fruit, etc.). Slightly berry.

Makes cooking dinner very pleasant.

My mother gave me a bottle of Brickstone Cellars Extra Dry American Champagne. She had asked me to pick up a case for her from Total Wine. Even though they label it Extra Dry, it's a little bit sweet. And it has a slightly fuller body than the other sparkling wines I've had. Also, a slighty fruitiness. You know I had to try it even though it was ...$17? IIRC.

And it was OK, but not fabulous. Not worth buying again.

The Marlborough region of New Zealand produces Sauvignon Blancs that taste like summer. OK They taste like grass. The body is light, but not thin. It is, imho, the perfect summer wine ( Read more... )
