He still wants to keep it. His family has waited too long for recognition. For now, he's stuffed it in his pocket and is going to...meet someone so he can keep this up. Then his cell rings halfway there.

"I was just calling to see if you were busy tonight. Billy's throwing a party down at the warehouse to celebrate the...," it had just struck him that Eli might not have seen the article.
"Oh! Hey, did you see the article on us in the Bugle today?" He tried not to sound too eager.

"Yeah, I saw." He's trying to be level-headed about this, but the excitment creeps in anyway. "Tell Billy that I'm annoyed he got billing before I did." He's teasing, of course.

True to his word, Eli appears 30 minutes later with 3 pizzas to the party. Teddy and Billy are the types that would notice he's cleaned himself up just a little before walking through the door.

In his hurrty to bring Kate a plate of food, he doesn't really pay heed to Eli (cause, he's really important, right?) and crashes into Eli.
And the pizza.
