Books by self-pubbers are a dime a dozen. I understand that.  How do we who agents and publishers consider to be unworthy prove our worthiness?

How about free ebooks?  I know, ebooks are a pain to read on-line.  I'd rather be holding that paper myself, so I understand entirely.

And I'm just as qualified to be a publisher as 95% of those listed as such.  However, I'm not going to publish anybody's writing except my own.  You other undiscovered writers can go start your own publishing company.

There are so many hopeful writers out there, killing themselves by holding down a day job and writing far into the night.

I'm so damned busy these days getting my Amazon, B&N, etc. product pages as spiffy as they'll allow.

My biggest hassle has been proving to Amazon that I'm truly the author of my own book.  If I had a regulation publisher for Tales, I suppose they could be the "industry professional" needed to verify my authorship.  As it is, it's a little harder for ( Read more... )
