First Time Contributor
I have never in my life contributed to any political candidate, so today I surprised myself by making a contribution to the campaign of Barack Obama. I realize people have different opinions for very good reasons, and I am perfectly fine with that.
In my case, I view this person as different than the run-of-the-mill politician. He has the capacity to motivate, to inspire, to lead. My contribution first came to mind I think as I was watching Obama's recent "An Imperfect Union" speech on YouTube.
At any rate, it feels nice to be part of something that could potentially be very big and very positive.
And I realize I may end up very disappointed, or somewhere in between. That is life. But for now I am happy! :)
