words escape me when I try to speak
For my part, Animenext might as well have been called Fashioncon since my main incentives to go were the h.Naoto GRAMM fashion show and the chance to meet Z8 ♥ I wore GRAMM all weekend as a tribute, so packing my suitcases was relatively easy. Lolita fashion is great, but not having to pack petticoats made a big difference!
Whenever I wasn't tending to Moss Märchen sales in the artist alley (read as: geeking out over cosplayers, eating pizza, and trying to get people to buy things), I was usually creeping around the h.Naoto booth in the dealers room. I was lovely to see Iris again after so long! Looking stylish as ever ♥
The beautiful Erin was there too (pictured here with Nikki), so I was happy we got to chat a bit!
I also met Nikki-- someone I'd seen at conventions but never really spoken with before. She looks great in GRAMM!
This sweet girl was also at the h.Naoto booth and we got to speak briefly, but I forgot her name >n<;;
I also got to meet Z8, the designer of h.Naoto GRAMM! She was a very sweet person ♥ I was too nervous to say much so I must have seemed like a blithering idiot, but it was amazing to meet someone in person whose designs have inspired me so much. I wish I had just written something down and given it to her so she would know how much I admire her work ::sigh::
Teddy bear tights ♥ She dressed beautifully all weekend!
There were so many beautiful GRAMM pieces at the h.Naoto booth that I had a difficult time choosing which ones to buy. I settled on eight pieces, buying a few each day of the convention. It may be a little difficult to distinguish the pieces because of so much black, but here they are (clockwise starting from the top left): long black cardigan, gloves jsk, handmirror w/ logo, sleeveless hooded assymetrical tunic, sheer lace jsk, rabbit leg bag, rabbit leg shawl, and frilled jabot cutsew. I can't wait to wear them all ;o;
Buying so many things allowed me to finish one point card and start another @n@ I got a lot of free gifts ~ clockwise from top left: a GRAMM blanket, Heaven tote bag, Alpyu charm, notepad, and two pairs of GRAMM socks!
Z8 also gave me a GRAMM poster and signed the bottom left corner for me TnnnT I was touched!
Besides all the wonderful GRAMM, I saw quite a lot of fashion at the convention. I didn't take photos of everyone I liked because there wasn't enough time, but I wish I had taken more! Here are a few:
