Loverly Miami... is so Hot Hot Hot!
If I had to sum up this city in one word I wouldn't, I couldn't and so I shan't even try.
Its a sleepy little city that quite paradoxly[??? help me Kelly!] never sleeps. Parties till the wee hours of the morn with a smattering of disco-naps during the day. I don't believe a regular 8 hour cycle exists here. 24 hour everything, Armani Exchange included, with a beach siesta from 1-4pm.
South Beach Art Deco Extravaganza! I wanna wear big sunglasses and an even bigger floppy-rimmed hat. Stretch limos, stretch SUV's, stretch Rolls Royce's and stretch pants. Beautiful people, famous people, loud people and aliens. Gloria Estafan walking along with Mr. Extra Fat Man in Speedos not 3 paces behind. It's a Disney World for adults, or at least those that think they are, and for all the freaks that cater to them.
Many lovely people met in the Hostel Du Jour. Amazing Linda who knows any and all in the club scene... Oh! Sweet Lady of the "No Cover" and VIP access. Mysterious Tamara our Russian film director and suspected ex-KGB agent. Sweet Cecelia our Argentinian Sociologist turned dodgy american waitress. Fabulous Jason our Mathematics Professor who loves trance as much as I do and dances with all his heart and limbs. Easygoing Derrick who I truly believe lives on the coach in the lobby and overly enjoys karaoke. Much Love and Laughter and Very SORE Feet because of all these fabulous and fierce creatures.
And now for celebrity watch New Year's Week... [ta tata da dum, ta tata da dum dum, papapa!]
Thanks to glorious Linda and all her connections I have been to parties that have included, in order of appearance before mine eyes... Busta Rhymes and his crew, Lil' Jon, Jaime Fox, Janet Jackson, Shaq and about 1/2 the Miami Heat team, Mark Wahlberg, Brandy, Paris fucking Hilton [as she will heretofor be known as]and Puff Daddy. Plus a whole slew of familiar but not immediately recognizable faces. And a free bottle of Cristal from one player on the Miami Heat Team.
Well that's my week in a coconut-shell. Love to all and...
