The paint job in the old spare room / new computer room has been completed. We've moved the computers in and what furniture will fit into the room and my job today was to clean out as much of the old room as I can, to ready it for carpet cleaning and it's eventual transformation into our new bedroom. Our current bedroom will become the baby's room.
Bean has requested that I take a breather. Too much stretching and bending over disturbs his lounging and he informs me that he's thirsty...
So what does one do with personal memorabilia? For example, my junior and senior proms were a long time ago. I have my memories of both events but do I need to keep the invitations? I don't know that I ever asked to see my parents' stuff from highschool; will Bean care in 10 or 15 years?
What about birthday cards? Wedding stuff?
At least I figured out what to do with all the pictures I've been finding. They've been tossed into a box for future scanning and will be burned to CD. I might make the time one day to set them up in a digital album and make comments on them. At least it gets them out of the way.
It sounds self-centered: am I losing something by getting rid of the milestone ticket stubs of my life?
