I learned something today...

It's day 3 of my sugar control thing.

Sunday was fine. Yesterday I was hungry basically all day even though I drank two more bottles of water than today.

Today I got to bask in the sweet, sweet relieving knowledge that I was going to have sushi, as I previously mentioned. It. Was. Great. I skipped dessert, however, and also didn't order anything that was noodle-based.

My lunch was not on the sushi-level, though.

Here's the thing. Know in all those foodie blogs where people offer alternatives for ingredients to make them healthier or less fattening or just plain LESS FUCKING GOOD?

One of them is to sub plain Greek yogurt for mayo. So I did. Added some spices, threw in some lettuce leaves so I could make them into lettuce tuna wraps--how fun!

FUCKING HELL, WHAT THE FUCK WAS THAT?

The concoction had a collection of milky water when I opened it today. I made it up last night with some cucumbers and put the lettuce on top. I think, okay fine. I'll drain the water and cut up the lettuce because this is gonna get messy.

While I do this the lettuce isn't cutting up nicely and I'm making a mess anyway, I am irritated.

And then I tasted it.

HOW CAN SOMETHING BE SO CREAMY AND DRY AT ONCE? GREEK YOGURT IS NOT A MAYO SUB. WHAT THE HELL?

I choked it all down because it was my lunch and hell if I'm wasting that ish. I had To go to the grocery store for more apples so I took time and looked through every oil-based salad dressing until I found one that fit in my program and only has mustard flour as a minor ingredient.

I'm gonna need some give from SOMETHING to make it through this thing so Rene's Italian something or other? I love you.

To everything else? I'll see you in hell.
