What I finished:
Aunty Lee's Chilled Revenge by Ovidia Yu. I figured out the big plot twist, but not the actual identity of the murderer, so that was pretty clever. I wish Aunty Lee was real so that I could go to Singapore and visit her cafe. Except I'd probably end up either murdered or a murder suspect, so I guess it's just as well.

What I'm reading now:
About half way done with the Peter the Great bio. Peter has gone ahead and founded St. Petersburgh, despite it being on a swamp and also still disputed territory in his ongoing war with Sweden. He has also begun his relationship with Martha Skavronskaya, whom I really wish history new more about. She started out as an orphaned, illiterate Lithuanian peasant and ended as Peter's wife and, after his death, as Empress Catherine I. She must've been pretty amazing, but the book doesn't give a clear picture of what her character was like, even after quoting some of her and Peter's letters to each other.

Sense and Sensibility by Jane Austen. Rereading so I can discuss with my book club later this month.

What I'm reading next: My TBR file keeps growing, so it's hard to say. This entry was originally posted at https://marinarusalka.dreamwidth.org/656215.html. You may comment there using OpenID.
