So, three weeks ago I ordered a bunch of shelves from Target on-line. Two weeks later, no shelf, even though their website claimed my order has been completed and delivered. I call customer service to ask what's up and am told, "Oh, your order is on it's way, it'll be there in a couple of days." Another week goes by, no shelves. I call again, and suddenly it's "Oh, there's a typo in the postal code in your delivery address. So your shipment got sent back to the warehouse because it couldn't be delivered. We'll have to send it out again, call us in a week or so if you haven't got it."
ARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGH! *headdesk* Yeah, okay, the typo was my misake, but that was three weeks ago! Was it too much to ask that somebody from Target e-mail or call me when they realized there was a problem? Or put some sort of flag on their order tracking website to tell me there was a problem when I went to check? Or notice the problem the first time I called customer service?
The upshot of all this is that my stuff from San Diego arrived yesterday, and now all my books and most of my clothes are piled on the floor because I have nowhere to put them. I've spent six weeks keeping my apartment shiny and clean, and now that my mom is arriving for her visit on Sunday, the place looks like a pigsty and there's nothing I can do about it.
Excuse me while I go kick some furniture.
