On TWLOHA Day:
I don’t get the hate about this day. It’s not trending or something cool, haters. It’s not being hip. It’s not a way to get on the bandwagon. I find that it is a perfectly good way to spread awareness, not just about the cause or TWLOHA, but also on the issues most people our age deal with.
It’s letting people know about the facts. Where I come from there’s not much in the way of information or support or hotlines to help those who are in pain emotionally/physically. This cause helps the message get out there through young people. It’s showing support to the ones that need it the most.
If I were hurting, it would help to see that others are trying to be supportive. It would be nice to know they’re making an effort to reach out; that there are people out there willing to help, listen, just be there. We might not know those who are hurting personally, but solidarity is important when you’re fighting for something as important as this.
Let them know you’re there for them. Write LOVE on your arm.
