D'you know what I (seriously and unironically) love? I love working with people who just get the job done. They don't whine or complain or expect someone else to do something or say you shouldn't need whatever it is...they just say "Oh, okay, let me fix that."
The exact context is slightly complicated and unimportant. To summarize, an error report went out to me and about 8 other people. Usually these are errors that need to be fixed on my end but when I looked, I wasn't quite sure about them. I commented that I wasn't entirely sure of where the two problems I saw were occurring.
I got a quick response from one person explaining the source of both problems. And within hours, several different people had come up with solutions and done their parts to fix the problems. It was awesome!
I'm not saying that everyone at Suddenly Sprockets! is perfect, but sometimes it's so nice to work with competent and non-lazy/non-stupid people. I'm sure I'll be back to being ready to throttle someone soon enough, but for the moment I'm going to bask in the sunshine of competence. (And I IMMEDIATELY sent an e-mail cc'd to everyone on the distribution list thanking them for their prompt assistance. Because I try to let people know when I appreciate them.)
