Of all Rome I remember San Clement Basilica the most. It was built on top of an ancient street, which in turn was built on top of an ancient temple for the cult of Mithras. London was so charming that I scrapped my plans of visiting half of the places I intended to visit and just wandered about taking the city in.

This is not to say that this is the most beautiful or liveable city I have seen, but it is the most interesting so far.
