I ordered my iPhone through Virgin Mobile. It arrived and we activated it using the Virgin-supplied SIM (a phone number starting with 0403). Once activated, we started the porting process. After a couple of days the number was ported, and I thought nothing more of it ( Read more... )

The Internet Industry Association of Australia has for some time had an established "Family Friendly ISP" programme. The idea of this programme is to help end users (that's you) set up filtering to prevent their children (or themselves) being exposed to objectionable content.

I have a particular need at present: I'm writing a piece of code which needs to be able to handle a lot of incoming UDP packets. First up I need to learn how to read what's in the packets, then I need to make decisions on where to send the packets, and on top of all this I need to do all this very quickly.
