Oh the stuff...

I haven't posted since I don't know when. Mostly because I've been working so much and coming home too exhausted to even turn on the computer. I've got a bunch to say, so I'll link to it, and not all that much that's remotely fun. Damn it.

I'll start off with work, since that has been taking up so much time. I spent last Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday-Sunday, and Monday-Thursday this week working. The weekdays I worked from at least 1-5pm. And pretty much all I did from 1-4 on those days was weed whack. I mostly used our push weed whacker, which is a bitch to push around, so now my arms, wrists, hands, and back are dead. My legs also have tons of little cuts from the flying grass. The bugs down here are horrible, as soon as I walk out of the barn about 10 bugs swarm around me and try and bite me. So Jackie, co-worker, bought this net jacket with a hood that covers your entire head. Basically I've worn it every day that I've been out there and it works perfectly. It's hot as hell, and doesn't shield my legs, but it keeps them away from my head. So as a result of working, I again, am very sore, have several itchy bug bites, and a rockin tan (the only good thing).

Oh, and there are two new babies at the farm, sooo cute! Both Saucy and Special foaled last Sunday night. Special had Ed and Saucy had Popcorn. Both very adorable colts. Special is super protective of Ed, she pins her ears back and sometimes will try and bite or kick. She was so nice before she foaled. Anyway, that makes 7 foals this year, and at least two on the way. One will be a Mini, that'll be so cool to see a foal that small, and the other is a Hanoverian. Hehe, one tiny and one big baby. Anyway, check out my pictures for more cute horses.

So this weekend was supposed to be kinda fun, but things all fell apart. I was supposed to ride in my first actual horse show on Sunday, but had to cancel because my grandmother is going to be alone at my aunts this weekend and needs someone to look after her. I was originally only going to stay over Sunday night, but my aunt hadn't found anyone to take care of her on Saturday, and my brother had plans, so he couldn't. My parents and sister are in Vermont taking my car up there and touring Champlain college. My aunt and her family are leaving town to go to some church conference, and apparently so are all her friends. So yours truly gets to spend Saturday and Sunday night at my aunts house, making sure my Gram takes her meds and eats, and gets to wherever she's supposed to be each day. I love my Gram, and that doesn't bother me, but I have to give up doing things I want to do cuz no one else is around. Why is it that they all expect me to come thru even if I have plans??? Pisses me off.

Next thing: my car. So my beautiful Audi is pretty much dead. It's been sitting in my driveway for a month or so, cuz the water pump blew. It's too expensive to keep fixing and we've already spent thousands on it, so it's no longer worth it. My dad loaded it onto a dolly last night, and they drove off with it this morning. My first car. And now it's off to Vermont to the car dealership where it came from, where my uncle works, to be sold for parts. I took some pictures of it yesterday and then took everything out of it, depressing. It was hard to watch them leave today. And the fact that I'm driving the Impala only mildly comforts me, cuz my parents are still planning on selling it (I luv it more than my car), and buying me another used car. So depressed.

Another problem: Christina. Normally when Christina and I disagree it's no big thing and we forget it pretty quickly. Not this problem. I helped her load up Ruby and Stanley to take them to Linda's on Thursday, cuz I was going there anyway. We got there and she said that she needed to get hay, and asked me to help, so I said sure, just give me a day and I'll see if I can. Her mom suggested that night. I didn't want to cuz I knew I'd be tired after work, but I said okay. Well, I had to cancel cuz I had to pick up the radio for my car from CP, and I called her and told her that I did cuz my parents were taking the car to VT the next morning. She asked me why they couldn't pick it up on the way... it's not on the way. So she got mad and said fine, and that I should let my parents know that board for chance was going up another $50!! and hung up. *fuming* So she came by later while I was cleaning out my car and gave me a bill for board, and included a message which basically said that I had failed our board agreement by not helping to get hay and not cleaning Chance's field every week. Funny, I don't remember making any agreements which were supposedly put in place to keep board low. And news flash, I work, go to school, and usually don't live in Calvert County, and when I do, I'M WORKING! So I'm pissed, and I'm not going to ignore it, I'm going to stay mad cuz this is ridiculous. Maybe Linda will offer cheap board. *still fuming*

So pretty much, I've had a sucky week, and the only saving grace is going riding with my horse who loves me and is well behaved, and spending time with my cats. I'd hang out with friends, but I DON'T HAVE ANY IN CALVERT COUNTY at the moment. Leave love, I really need it. And call my cell this weekend, I need friends... (301.793.6279)
