Here's something USEFUL from ethics class:
"The question [why be moral?] is on a par with the hazards of love; indeed, it is simply a special case. Those who love one another, or who acquire strong attachments to persons and to forms of life, at the same time become liable to ruin; their love makes them hostages to misfortune and the injustice of others. Friends and lovers take great chances to help each other; and members of families willingly do the same... Once we love we are vulnerable."
-- John Rawls, A Theory of Justice
Anyway, just wanted to say MERRY HALLOWEEN! Last night we went to the Blue Room for a social and the 17th floor-- a really great rap cover band here-- was playing. I dressed up as a dalmation with some of my friends and we had one girl disguised as Cruella DeVille. It was cute but.. who wants to dress up as a dog?
Thursday Emily and I are going to another Halloween party and I came up with the idea that she be Wilma and I'll be Betty from the Flintstones. Cuter huh?
Wise Words from Amanda--
I just want to tell all you boys-- all you potential clubbers out there-- that it is NOT attractive to start rubbing your genitals on a random girl's rear end when she's just minding her own business-- She won't like it. She'll probably feel violated and think you're using her behind to masturbate-- which is never good public conduct.
And girls out there-- it's always a good idea to dance with a pumpkin (and there should always be one in the room on halloween) because their rotund orange bellies obstruct them from rubbing their parts on you. Ok?
Anyway, ya'll be safe this Halloween and don't accept candy from strangers.
