What a splendid day! The sun is shining, the grass is green, my fellow hung-over college mates are staggering to class-- yes this is definitely a zippity-doo-da day! The shattered beer bottles, casually chillin' next to the stadium, shimmer in the sunlight like a million tiny diamonds-- like stars in the universe. (Reminds me of Phillippians 2:15) Each effulgent starlet is reminiscent of tail-gating with loved ones over BBQ-- of evenings of debauchery and dissipation-- of all the games we've gotten stomped on in there. Oh yes, the Auburn spirit is quite alive in these tiny shards of maple-colored glass.
I think I will make a mural on my wall-- a mosaic I suppose-- with these fragments. I could shape them into a big "I" and then a Heart and then an "AU". "I Heart AU!"
What art.
Anyway, I'm saving pop-tops, and it goes to funding research on leukemia; so next time you pop open that Coke-in-a-can (or Pepsi, if you're a yankee), then think of all those children w/ no hair who won't be able to drink coke for very long. And then after you're finished thinking about the bald kid, save the pop-top. Then mail it to me. OK?
Well, I think I've rambled enough for one day! Time to check out all ya'll's entries! And I feel like laughin so they'd better be good! (Or just plain THERE will do, GEORGE!)
