Another Piece Down
I've just finished writing and illustrating a new story and pic for EuroBear/German Bear magazine. This story was a bit different for me this time, because I decided to go for a more romantic feel rather than a "2 bears meet in an alley" feel. Personally, I think it came out okay, and the illustration that goes with it is nice a sexy.
The only problem of course, is that I can never see this work I do in print. Due to customs here in Australia, my free copy would only arrive 1 time out of 5 sent, so the publisher decided to up my pay a bit so I can buy the 'zine myself if I ever find it. No luck so far, so I get no tear sheets to verify my publishing history. Ah well, I guess a bear can't have everything.
Got dinner in the oven already. Tonight I'm making some nice, spicy, honey soy pork. I'll serve it on a bit of rice I think, something simple so that the flavours form the dish don't have to compete with anything. It takes a long slow cook in the oven, so when it's done, the pork will have gone all nice and gelatinous while the sauce becomes this thick, sticky gravy... Yumm.
