So Saturday we were planning on going to Ren Faire. Mike however backed out at the last minute as usual and I was not a happy camper. I kept my mouth shut though and did my best to be understanding, saved my complaints to be vented while Bill and Kelly were here. Bill ruled and watched the minion while Kelly and I went shopping for a little black dress, which Mike told me I'd be needing in Vegas.
We found one. Kelly says I look good but I fret cause it's not my usual style...then again my usual style is jeans or yoga pants and a t-shirt. Hence me taking Kelly at her word and getting it. Went out and bought a bra today that will go with the dress. :)
Anyways, on the way home Mike called and he had called earlier sounding upset. He refused to tell me why though but he muttered something about our room. Now we're staying in the Bellagio (spelling?) and their regular rooms are expensive. My brain is thinking that they ran out of rooms or something and Mike and co had to get rooms in a motel or something. I ask Mike if everything is ok a bit worried. He asked if I wanted to know about my surprises. I was confused a bit, he had told me he was plotting things for while we were in Vegas but I didn't connect the dots.
Apparently he'd been upset earlier cause my surprises were not all in a row and he was royally pissed at the thought of letting me down again. I know with the room they had him in a regular when he'd paid for more, it got fixed as did the rest.
So when I get to Vegas I'm staying with Mike in a Suite. A frickin suite in the Bellagio people! According to Mike it's as big as the middle floor of our house with a giant tv in the bathroom! Yes I am easily amused. :P
The second part of the surprise was that Mike got tickets for us to go see Phantom of the Opera. A show I had wanted to actually see performed since I heard that was the best way but had written off ever seeing. Mainly cause it required us to dress up and go into the city in a crowded building. All things that make Mike cringe.
But wait! There's more to this!
Today on the way home from bra shopping Mike tells me he upgraded our seats. We're like in the fifth row in the middle roughly. Basically we'll be able to see everything. Short of an actual box these are prime seats at any performance I believe.
He also has reservations for us at a really nice seafood place. Now his definition of nice and mine are drastically different. Nice and Seafood to my mind pops up Red Lobster.
Mike told me ahead of time not to worry about the cost of food (which I always do) because the place's cheapest meal is $50. I'm pretty sure my brain started smoking around then cause I'm going "Christ they better have really frackin good food there to charge that much!" I'm crossing my fingers myself.
Anyways, my brain is processing all this and I go "Well frack I'm actually gonna have to do my hair and make up aren't I? Guess I'll spend the next couple nights practicing."
Now my hair is notoriously impossible. In order for anything to be done with it I usually have to go to a professional in order to get it to look pretty. Already I'm thinking of just pulling it up into a bun because it's going to be hopeless. Same with my face really, I'm just not skilled in the department of cosmetics.
Mike: Oh didn't I tell you about your spa?
Me: Yes dear I know I'm getting a nice rub down while there since I couldn't get it last time due to pregnancy. You spoil me. ^_^
Mike: Actually hon. I got you a full package. Spa and Salon treatment.
Me: O_O *brain explodes* You spoil me rotten...
Mike: Yep.
So my plan now is to finish my laundry as fast as I can on Weds. in order to go shopping for something for Mike.
I'm thinking red, lacy, and barely covering me. Mwuahahaha!
