It could or it couldn't. I don't know the sender, so it could all be a hoax. ...though those letters were definitely Shifted into the enclosure. So whoever sent them has to be good.

All I can say is that whoever sent those letters is damn good at Shifting. And Shifting seems to be the method by which people return home, so logically...it's possible.
