Finally, Friday. As a entity who lives through multiple iterations of every week, over and over again, for all time, all at once - even for me, this was a long fucking week. Yet, here we are, finally at the end of it and everyone is alive and well...*checks out the window to be sure*... yes, in this version that is true.
Anyway, here I am again, full of help and love. Ready to give you that last little boost to get you on into the weekend at long last. Enjoy it. Savor it. You never know when it might be your very last day on the internet. Just sayin.
First off, before we get started, it's a good idea to get in some stretching. You don't want to sprain your scrolling hand. You might need that for later. Fortunately, my assistant, Lord Varion Van Puffington, demonstrates the appropriate technique.
Yes, you do need to lay on the floor to do this. Get to it. I'll wait...
Another good idea before starting into one of my pic-posts is to orient your core such that to maximize the flow of external essence through your spirit-body which, in turn, will allow you to be light of heart and mind. So, go ahead and do that. Got it? No? Well, it can help if you have someone assist you. Just have them place their hands on the sides of your face, and draw up on your core. It should respond by moving into the correct alignment. Still no? Here -
intenselaura sent over a pic that makes it clear how to do it.
Can't be any more simple than that. Ok, everyone is properly oriented - let's roll!
First off, as a person who routinely hallucinates, I found the following particularly pleasing...
And the best part? The hallucinated research is absolutely true!
From the world of things that I really wish were a hallucination, this comic...
Hang on... still vomiting...
...
Ok, I'm good.
How about we wash that taste out of our mouth with something a million times more awesome?
If you found yourself delightedly amused at the end of this comic, welcome to my world. If you were all "WTF, Majes? WTF?" - the fish are right over there, in that same bucket where I always put the fish. I don't know why people keep asking that.
In other news, in about a month, I'll be heading out to visit
xtina. It's been a while since I'd been out to her land. I only have a vague recall of the encounter. I do remember being struck to the back of the head just after arriving there. I seem to recall being thrown in a trunk and being driven a considerable distance; I also seem to remember waking up tied to a stump. Let me see if I can conjure a pic from my memory...
Oh, right,
xtina was a blond back then. I'd almost completely forgotten that... I certainly don't remember anything after the moment in this pic.
I checked with
xtina. She said... something soothing. She assured me that she was never blond. Huh. It's funny, now when I think about that last visit, this is what I get:
... which seems weird, because I never really thought of X as a white dress kind of girl. Ah, the strangeness of memory! Anyway,
xtina tells me that I shouldn't worry about that, and should just get on out there. Can do!
This just in - online video game developers have been working hard to capture all the niche markets that they have yet to effectively reach. One of the harder groups to lure in has been older folks. However, I have seen some betas that look pretty promising...
I believe it's called Ball of KnitCraft. Virtual sweaters for all!
Yeah, it's quite remarkable what is going on in the world of online multi-player gaming nowadays - the amazing graphics, the wonderful experiences... I mean, just take a look!
Oops! That's dirty, dirty reality! No one wants to see that! No, no - graphics, we wants it!
Yes, that's more like it. And it's not just all remarkable vistas either. There are worlds of strange creatures to encounter. Such as these ominous fellows:
Fortunately, if they give you any trouble, you can use one of your in-game pets to subdue them:
Even better are the mounts. Personally, I'm saving up my trinkets to get me a robolion; they are the most awesome thing that was ever awesome.
Another thing that is great about modern online gaming that is amazing, the endless choices as to where to go and what to do.
I say we take the left most door... let's see where that goes.
Huh. Ok, the right most door.
Well now!
I mean, it is so much better than the olde days.... "twisty passages, all alike" - that's no fun!
Now, I'm not saying that all virtual reality games are completely awesome and without risk. For example,
mzrowan and
intenselaura have been trying to convince me to check out this VR game called "Canada." According to them, it is totally real! However, when I checked out the box, they had this warning printed right on the package.
Damn; that game is for the hardcore only!
Yeah, I think that if I were going to join some VR game like that, I'd go for something a little safer. I understand that this new game "Australia" is pretty nice...
Oh wait... that was Austria!
Don't worry, all you folks who enjoy your reality non-virtual! The future holds many wonders for you too.
Oh, the heart-stopping wonder of it all!
BTW,
jasra popped on by with some adds for this week's pic-post. As many of you all know, she's a modern tech type person. As such, she is using the cutting edge in keyboard technology.
But she's not all tech all the time. She's very much about stopping, looking up from the keyboard and taking in the wonder about us all.
xtina also had a few things to say. First off, she was never blond.
Additionally...
... your argument is invalid.
She also wants to assure my reading audience that pics regarding her and axes are full of lies. This following pic is more representative of her.
and she certainly isn't training that bird to kill. She is teaching it to love.
In fact, she went on to suggest that this next picture captures more of her gentle nature...
Naturally, as a person who has carried her eggs in my flesh, I'm not fooled by this. Well. Maybe a little. Maybe enough to fly across the country. But that it! Probably.
