Dykstra Bound!!
WOOHOO!!! Hopefully in about 12 hours, I'll be in my Dykstra room for the year...in good ol' 950. WAYYY far away at the end of the hall. BUT I'll be back in Dykstra!! As much fun as Courtside is, it'll be nice to settle in finally. Sadly though, the team is going to get broken up and spread over our respective floors. Ech. But we'll be actually in our home for the year, which is nice. And we'll see a lot of each other in the office.
This is gonna be short (again) cuz I'm exhausted...woke up in the AM, went to b-fast and then did some door dec work, then headed off to Schoenberg to meet up with band. Went off to the Illinois game part of the band...and found out a major thing about me: I"M OUT OF SHAPE for band! Like none other. My left arm (shoulder to wrist) is absolutely DEAD right now...i expect it to be ultra sore tomorrow...hopefully it'll be functional enough to move my stuff. The game against the Illini (or whatever they are) was BORING AS ALL HELL. Each team scored...only field goals. So we beat them 6-3. It was pathetic. Sad. UGH. I really hope this isn't the rest of the season cuz it SUCKED!! The only redeeming part was that we won.
Got back, managed to round up some people since team went to the game...went and got food. Came back, chatted, chilled, finished off Eddie Izzard. Sean, Matt's friend, is currently slee[ing on top of me...no, not in that way. He's taken the bunk because Matt either went out or fell asleep in his room with the door closed, and we can't wake him up. So, extending our wonderful D-luv, I offered him bed space and Andrea had an extra blanket that he's using. I have no extra pillows though since Matt took my extra already. Anyway, tomorrow we head into Dykstra, and start really prepping the floor and doing SHA training!! Wheeee!!! And then later...maybe...I can reflect back on the most recent bit of training that SHAs did with the rest of ORL...which was our Diversity training. Interesting experience, but best saved for another time. Now, it's bed time so I can go to the drumline meeting tomorrow.
