Not sure who I should hate more...the DMV for being so inefficient, or the Governor for cutting overtime pay, forcing the DMV office to stop taking walk-ins over 1.5hrs before they actually close. I've signed my name to a lease to an apartment with an address located in the midst of San Francisco. As of August 9, I will have a permanent residence in this hilly, chilly, silly, awesome city.

I have a lot of random paper stuff. Like boarding passes all still scattered about.

Most of the big stuff is packed...now it's just the "random crap." Which, of course, takes forever.

On July 22, sometime before 19:15 EDT, I will board Delta 47 on a one-way ticket, ATL-SFO, to truly begin the next phase of my life.

There are certain milestones in each move - the signing of the lease, the actual moving of furniture, the personalization of the place. But for me, the one thing that always helps cement a new place as home is having a meal with all those that you're living with, a family meal, if you will, if in fact you're living with someone.
