Words of Wisdom

Jul 10, 2006 18:09

This is excerpted from a book I'm reading on new methods of psychotherapy...Although it doesn't matter where it came from...it matter's what was said. I feel like the words were spewed from my own mouth.

We all have a wall, and mine is not where yours is. His is not where hers is. No one can say who is not doing enough or what is right for another. I do not know anything about anyone else. I know exactly nothing of who another being is or what they need. Any interpretation to that effect would be past presumption, beyond arrogance. It would be assuming the responsibility of a god. Yet how quick I am to judge, even knowing my severely limited perspective into the soul of another. The challenge and the battle is purely personal, entirely internal in each and every spirit. The external results are obvious in behavior attitude and actions. The awareness of this concept is an invitation to personal responsibility. Ours to accept or deny. And then it begins. -anonymous.
