I am at my grandparents', and they have The Tonight Show on, which has reminded me how much I love Jamie Lee Curtis (a lot), and how much I want to punch Jay Leno in his smug, slut-shaming mouth (a lot).

I watched Curtis's first few seconds on the show, just to see what you were talking about ...

I was torn, at first. Look, here's the thing: I don't get the allure of the Boobage Look that is currently so "in" in high fashion. (I particularly don't get with certain styles like you might see at, say, this year's Oscars, where some women appeared to be trying to actively punish their boobs, or perhaps separate them for bad behavior. I'm not even talking about 'modesty' right now -- I just want to know, who thinks this LOOKS good?!?!? I don't get it ( ... )

I admit that I am still a bit ambivalent about this whole cleavage issue, as I have historically erred on the side of modesty in my own life, and my gut reaction is still to wish people would tone down the partial nudity. That said, here's the distinction I have learned to draw since finally (FINALLY) coming to terms with the fact that, short of never wearing anything but over-sized t-shirts and parkas, my comically large rack will always be out there for everyone to see in one way or another ( ... )

Also important to note, that last bit about not bringing it up if you don't like the way someone is dressed? Not a reprimand for your comments about the Oscars dresses, but instead a general comment about how to be polite when talking to people. I thought your descriptions were quite amusing ^_^
