"Timothy Dalton should get an Oscar and beat Sean Connery over the head with it!"

Oh, MAN, I'm glad I managed to overcome the dread of BS6 and the unsettling associations* and the STILL-too-close-to-home-(though-not-as-much-as-last-time-through-thank-goodness) themes.  I remembered "Life Serial" being very good, but I had forgotten entirely how funny it is.  Gellar doing broad comedy is always a treat, and the poker game and scenes with the Trio are extremely entertaining.  Also, getting to see Xander be Mr. Together and In Charge is very happy-making.  I especially love the research tips he gives Buffy as he sends her home - "The Zeppo" seems so very long ago, for having been less than three years.

And you know my black-tee/nice-forearms thing?

GUH.

Don't get me wrong, I LOVE the coat...but sometimes I wonder if I love it less because it's an awesome fashion statement and more because it keeps me from becoming inured to scenes like these.

...I just turned around to find Lorne crawling up Spike's right trouser leg.

(That, by the way, is one of those sentences that has no right to exist anywhere in the multiverse, unless followed up by "and Dobby was watching!1")

(Also, a cideo camera is contractually obligated to appear.)

(I should clarify, because Inner!Spike is getting stroppy with Inner!Everyone Else, Who All Think This Is Hilarious - my hamster, Lorne, was running about on my bed, and I lost sight of him for a moment.  When I located him, he was quickly disappearing up the trouser leg of my Spike plush.)

* Warren's mannerisms, appearance, and several select bits of personality are exactly what would happen if you crossed wossname with Ted Mosby.  I'm kind of really amazingly terrified by how cathartic I imagine "Villains" is going to be this time 'round.
