What a day!

Anybody want a surly 14 year old? Yeah, me neither. Fortunately for Nebraska, they've changed their law now and I can't drop her off at a hospital there.

My son, on the other hand, was finishing up a couple of merit badges for cub scouts today, and we had a lovely discussion on what kinds of things our family spends money on and what he can do to help us save money (try turning off the lights when you leave, was my advice), and a different conversation about things that we have to do to take care of the household, including what was his responsibility and what were collective or parental responsibilities. I wish my daughter would have been there to hear it, but then, she would have found out a way to make it all about her. *groans*

Feeling a little better today since the fever has gone, but I'm awfully congested and sneezy and coughy. I sound slightly frog-like.

Tomorrow morning I have to take my turn as adult leader at Jr. High Bible Study. This entails me sitting there, bored to tears, with all the kids who are bored to tears. I don't make my daughter go unless I have to go, and I'm fairly annoyed that I'm not allowed to be a confirmation leader without also having to take my turn at this Bible Study torture. Unfortunately, it's supposed be -17° F. including the wind chill when we have to leave in the morning. Maybe I'll be too sick to go...

I got two boxes of Christmas stuff packed away today. I could have done more, except that I got distracted by reading fic this morning. I still have so much to read, and I don't want to miss anything because it's all wonderful.

I have nothing else going on, so I'll be ending this pointless post now. ♥ to all!

girl free to good home
