Narf.
About to head home. Full of stuff tonight, feeling a little wound up because of it. Location scouting trip, and prep for some visual effects shots this weekend. The logistics of said shoot need to be planned and I need to pack up Nookie tomorrow night so we can start shooting Friday night as early as possible.

One of the guys at work just bought a Smart Car. It's tiny on the outside, but apparently quite roomy (he's over 6' 3") and fun to drive.
On the bright side, Nookie gets better gas mileage.

Tiny accident with Nookie tonight. Knocked out a fog light. Fixing it with some epoxy and maybe making a sheet metal binder plate to give it some reinforcement. The damn bracket is made out of ABS, so it shatters easily-- I suppose that's on purpose so the glass lens doesn't get broken, but sheesh.

Did a little grocery shopping tonight. I didn't really get much in the way of edibles, though I splurged on some high-protein cheeses and organic salad fixin's. I needed to stock up on crystal light since I was out, and yogurt and cottage cheese, and I think this is one of the few trips that I didn't buy any meat. After the quick test drive last night, I discovered that one of my backup lights was out. Since I was fiddling with the taillights, I figured I may have fucked it up, but just to be easy, I checked the bulb this morning. Sure enough, it was burned out. A replacement was had from the neighborhood NAPA, and a few minutes later, was in place. I still ( Read more... )
