What a busy week I have had...
Wednesday through Friday I did nothing but work on this massive to-do list that I created before going to bed on Tuesday evening, when I could not sleep. So far I have done 32 of the 40 things on the list... so not bad for a few days of work! Friday evening I went over to
littlemamabunny's house for an impromtu birthday night. Wendy, Emily, and I watched Charlie and the Chocolate factory, we mowed on some wonderful food and we sat and BSed with each other all evening. It was such a relaxing and enjoyable night!
Saturday morning
rebelprivateer, DJ and I went to Toys 'R Us for the "Toys For Tots" kick off party! Our friend Glenn was there dressed up as Jango Fett and he brought tons of his fellow
"501st Legion" friends! So we of course chatted away like a bunch of Star Wars GEEKS and took lots of pictures! [coming soon!] While we were there we ran into lots of friends including, Josh & Melissa and their son Christian! So it was nice catching up with them for awhile. DJ started complaining that he was hungry so we hit 'Long Slongs' and while the boys scarfed down their fast food, I went into Catos and found the PERFECT red shoes for my Yule dress and a cute golden shrug, jewelry, and earrings for my anniversary dinner outfit. So I am finally done shopping for that stuff! YES! Although I still have to travel back to hoptropolis and return the swanky silver shoes I bought that did NOT look good with my dress. (They look hot with jeans but they were $40 so I need to take them back and put that money back on the poor credit card!) After shopping was done we headed back to post and stopped at
littlemamabunny's house to build our D&D characters. Of course before we were finished it became time for the boys to head over to my house and for Wendy and I to get ready for our
"Sisters of the Thread" meeting. We drove out to hoptown and picked up Ronii and got some stuff from wallyworld and headed back to Wendy's for the meeting. Had a great meeting with Ronii, Maureen, Wendy and I and we are super excited about the next meeting when 4 more people are coming! YEAH!
So that leaves Sunday.... LAUNDRY! Yes, I am swimming in a sea of laundry, been working on it since we got up at 11 am! (It was so nice to sleep in!) While I am waiting on each load, I have been updating the old BOS and catching up on some computer work. OYE! I let myself get entirely too far behind on all of this stuff. Anyways, school is almost done. My final exam is supposed to be due on the 6th but of course once again, our beloved Phil has forgotten to post it for us. So I am hoping that he gives us more than 24 hours OR he changes it from an essay exam to a multiple choice one (easier for him to grade). School officially ends on friday so he'd better think of something quick! LOL! I've got the Senior Honors Banquet on Thursday afternoon and then graduation is 2 fridays from now, so I am really getting amped up for that! Hopefully, my friends will be able to come and support me since my family will be missing my special day. :-( I really wish at least my parents could be there for it but unfortunately, they are wrapped up in litigation right now (they are taking a business to court) so they can't make it. Pooh!
Well, there is the dryer buzzer again...I hope ya'll had a good weekend. I am gonna try and decorate the house a bit for Yule since we know we will not be moving until this summer. Found out today that one of Jim's friends is getting re-stationed at Lewis too, so at least we will know two families when we get there! YEAH!
