This morning mon and I took Sammy, our one cat, to the vet. It was time for her allergy shot. At least she's a peaceful cat in the car- no mewing or attempts to escape her basket. Actually the "problem" with Sam is getting her out of her basket for the vet to examine her.

Today we put to sleep our 18yo tabby cat, Lady. It was the right thing to do - she had barely eaten in 5 days and was in a lot of pain from last night. This doesn't make it any easier to say good bye to such long term and much loved member of our family. I knew it was coming but wasn't prepared for it.
