Woke early to check on ebay bonnet. Matt won it for $26 - I think - from memory. He was pretty pleased. I got the kids stuff ready, and went to Inala to pick them up from David and Missa's. I told David to go back to bed - he'd hadn't been home long from work, and was to catch a bus to his next job at South Bank at the Convention Centre. I told him to get another hours sleep, and I would come back and drop him in there.
Took the kids to school and preschool. Went home to edit some quotes Matt had typed. He and John left for the job at his parents place - tearing out the kitchen. I went to David's. I took him to South Bank, then went to the shops to get "school food" - for the lunch boxes.
Pam asked me about my Visa debit card - she'd gone into her local Heritage branch at Brookside to get one on her account, but they refused, saying she needed to own her home, and have a job. What a load of old cobblers pegs!!! Crap. Bullshit. I told her I'd wander into my local branch and have a chat with the girls in there - they know me - I go in fairly often for the Business account. Alayne said it was crap too. She went through the questionnaire with me, then I called Pam on her mobile, and they spoke. It has now been decided that I will pick Pam up tomorrow, bring her into my branch, have them sort it out then and there, and then take her home. That's ok I guess, I have to take boxes of PartyLite stuff to Strathpine anyway - it's on her side of town.
Starting to feel bleh. Legs are sore, Head is sore. Sinus acting up still. I'm a moaning groaning pain in the arse.
Picked up the boys and bought them a cupcake for afternoon tea. Alex came home from work with a magazine. He showed me a picture of a welding helmet, with speedglass, that was $617. OMG!!! Six hundred fucking dollars for a welding helmet!!!!!! He said he really really wanted it - I guess in his line of work it's a sound investment - but I just can't come at $600 for a lump of glass and plastic. Matt said he should have it for work, so I gave him his card to take money out for it. It would want to shine bloody shoes and wipe his arse for him for that money!!!
We had home made hamburgers for dinner. I am still feeling bleh, and was cranky with the kids for leaving rubbish all over the lounge room, and went on a tirade of "pick this up", "what's that doing there?". Matt told the kids to go to bed. He told them he was saving their lives. LOL. Then he made me a LARGE glass of vodka and peachee. I sat on ebay watching guitars be bid out from under me. Not a good thing to help lighten my mood.
Matt had played with his car bonnet all afternoon - sanding, spray putty, undercoat, etc. He came up and gave me a wonderful big yummy kiss. After a fizzle last night (car sex was attempted, but fizzled - he was worried about being caught) I was convinced that when romance was handed out, my husband was standing at the back of the queue watching the cricket. Well, he got a couple of brownie points for that one.
I'm going to bury my nose in my Christmas Hamper 2007 catalogue.
