Day 23
Had to get River to school by 8:15am - his class had an excursion to Caboolture Historic Village. Matt dropped him and Blade at school. I took Storm to preschool at 9am. Matt wanted to go get the drawers he was missing for the kitchen at Indooroopilly and wanted to use my car (the Acclaim station wagon). I had to meet him at his parents place at Indooroopilly. When I got there, he said he needed to get sheeting as well anyway, so he'd take the truck (the Toyota Landcruiser). Grr
I left there (after saying hello to my in-laws) and went to Pam's. I was there at 10:15am - she was at her kids school doing some fund raising thing. I picked her up and we went all the way back across town to my local Heritage branch. Alayne was a doll - she over-rode the system to get Pam her Visa debit card. Good thing she knows me. Pam was happy. She has a visa debit with Suncorp, but we don't want her going back to them, now do we?
So, I dropped Pam home, and then sprinted another half an hour north to Strathpine to Manda's place (Amanda - Matt's daughter). She made up lunch, and I left PartyLite boxes for her to take to Katrina. Katrina lives another 15 minutes north - at Kallangur - and I needed to get back in time to get the kids from school. So, after a chat and a nice lunch, I zoomed back off home to Mt Ommaney, in time to get the kids. Manda had received her name badge for next year - and it said "teacher" instead of "relief teacher". LOL. She was over the moon!!
I went to get some chicken Kiev from the butcher because I forgot to take meat out for dinner. I started to cook it, but had to leave half way through for a PartyLite meeting. Geesh! I've done some traveling today. The meeting is at Wellington Point - forty five minutes drive east~ish - right on the bay.
Sat through that with gritted teeth. I think I prefer to push/approach people my own way - not theirs. Got home about 11pm. Tired. Matt kept dinner in the oven for me. Sort of ate half of it, then fell into bed.
