It's mid July - tomorrow it will be 30 years since we moved into our home.  I won't say it seems like yesterday, but it still doesn't seem like 30 years!

Our unseasonal weather is continuing, with sunny days and blue skies (and cold nights). Lovely, but not normal.

So far this year:
Autumn - May rainfall (full month) 31.0 mm  - last year 191.2 mm
Winter - June rainfall  (full month) 24.6 mm (less than 1") - last year 251.0 mm
Winter - July rainfall (so far) 29.2 mm - last year 62.8 mm (full month)

Anyway, my garden's sprouting flowers all over the place.

My one and only daffodil.

A Zygocactus.

OK, I don't know the name of this one!  The flowers are quite small (about 1/2" across) and you can't appreciate how unusual they are until you take a picture and blow it up!

This plant thinks it's Spring - new leaves sprouting here.

My job's going great!  It's hard to believe that three weeks have gone by.  It's all coming back to me (the things I used to do there before).  Half the time it doesn't even seem like work!  I just wish I had more time to do things (but isn't that the way it is with most jobs, anyway?).

Laurie's been getting a few extra hours at work, but it'll be a while before he's back to full time.

So, that's about it for now!
