I am terribly proud of myself today.  I finally finished a knitting project that was a) an article of clothing b) for me and c) more complicated than I had attempted before.

My coworker happened to come to Nordic Day on Saturday as well, so there is more photographic evidence of what a dork I am on the weekends.

Yesterday was Nordic Fest up at the lodge.  They had a rosemaling demonstration, a waffle contest, Norwegian "food" for sale, games, fake Viking weddings, and Kyle did a chainmail demonstration while I did a hardanger demonstration.

So yesterday was my birthday.  I don't usually make a big deal about my birthday because historically they haven't been all that great, but over the past few years they have definitely been more awesome.

On Saturday I went fabric shopping in Bellville with Siobhan and then we watched Outlander, or "Vikings vs Aliens" in laymen's terms.

So upon moving into the house I noticed several issues with the windows. 
1) All of the bedroom windows are casement windows and therefore none of my old curtains fit.
2) The bay window in the dining room is more than 8 feet wide.
3) The picture window in the living room is almost 11 feet wide.

I finished my first set of curtains!  I am not counting shoving pins into my old curtains to hang them sideways.  These are for the master bedroom and more pictures and info are under the cut.
