Apparently someone told my student loan company I was back in school. I guess technically two classes puts me over the important more-than-half-time line. I sure didn't do any paperwork, but I just got a letter saying my loans are in deferment until 2014.

Tuition remission processed!

We owe UB $475 in fees for the semester. Multiply by seven expected semesters and that's still not even four thousand dollars for a masters degree.

And it comes as a perk of a job I enjoy?

Not going to get over how cool that is.

I mailed a check for one of my student loans this morning. Not my main loans, just the little one I took out to cover study abroad. It's small and low-interest, but requires a lump payment every year in addition to the monthly payments (which I've had deferred since being unemployed).
