Just noticed a neat thing:

As of today, I have been working full time at this job for exactly a year.

There's a thunderstorm happening maybe a quarter mile away in an otherwise sunny day. I don't know if I can accurately describe how surreal is the collection of sensory inputs coming into my apartment. Haven't posted pictures in a while, and springtime has been quite photogenic lately. They're not the vaunted cherry blossoms, but we've got Magnolias in bloom and they're pretty lovely. We got an apartment!

It's in New Carrollton, MD, about a 10 minute walk from the end of the Orange line. We're getting out of Baltimore and I'll be back inside the beltway.

Many pros and cons, lots of thought went into it. But for now I'm really excited. I think this is a good thing.

And now moving. Wow.

Still in limbo. It has been a long couple of weeks. Soon we'll be in a different place, life will be different. but I don't know how exactly. It's disconcerting. ( The state of the things - Short version: We don't know! )
