Resume is updated. Cover letter's all shined up. As of five minutes ago, I have submitted my first west coast job application!
Six more queued up to go and then I start shaking the internet for more vacancy notices.
At least now there is a spreadsheet in my life again. It feels good. It feels comforting. There are dates in little boxes that assure me I'm not totally useless.
(Don't worry, people who know my history with spreadsheets. As long as they just track things that have already happened, they can't hurt me too badly. It's only when I make predictions it all ends in tears and heartbreak.)
