Update: Tornado
Rainy day yay!
As you might know, a big tornado hit Iowa a few days ago. I have a Newstalk AM station going 24/7 - from Cedar Rapids. Today, I heard more tornado alarms on that station, so I pulled up this page. (FYI!). It is comprehensible but not comprehensive.
There are 2 NOAA stations listed in far north IA counties, one listed in a far west county - and one in DesMoines, (the one most relevant to me). But is shows nothing else. Further investigation revealed there IS another NOAA station, in Davenport, Quad Cities. It's the one reporting today's tornadoes. It is mainly relevant to very Eastern Iowa plus NW Illinois. But, it's not listed on this NOAA radio page. It got pretty thick here, a few hours ago, but no tornado warnings (here).
I also like this Yahoo site, for daily updates. I am not presenting the actual page for the town where I live. You can locate your own town. On my phone, now out of service, I complement it with several other sites/pages, with radar, etc. Not so on laptop. And, one laptop problem with the Yahoo page? It gets weird and goes away, susp[iciously. So, I never keep it up continuously.
