Title: Prayers
Summary: 11.21 Drabble fic. All Sam wants is to know that his prayers were heard.

Prayers
Pastor Jim once told him that he's never truly alone, that he'll always have his faith.
Now he's sitting in front of Chuck, in front of God, and how is he supposed to put it all into words? The times he prayed for his family to come home safely, the times he feared he was a monster, the times he hurt his loved ones.
So he stumbles, and he's star-struck; his faith is a complicated thing, even for him. He just wants to know that his prayers were heard, that someone was listening, that someone cared. That he wasn't alone.
A/N: There were some very powerful and enjoyable scenes in this episode; Dean's speech to Chuck, and Sam driving the Impala like a badass! While I enjoyed Sam's awkward and star-struck babbling with Chuck, I would have a liked just a touch more about his prayers and his faith, so I thought I'd explore that in this drabble.
