so Gods cool...
since mexico God has done some crazy things. He showed us alot in just a week of being there. From discerning truth from false gospel, wheat from tare, being led by the Spirit from not, living by faith from not...He is totally at work, and not in just the area of renewing me.
amy and i have been in prayer that we would rest in what Gods doing, and not to be anxious because we know He is God and we can have faith in what Hes doing. ok meanwhile, Gods already at work.
when we were in mexico, after realizing God was calling us out, one thing He laid on our hearts was that we seriously needed to join the Austin Stone and fellowship with some true believers. and after God laid it on my heart i was so pumped. i was telling amy that i couldnt wait till sunday, i wanted to join as soon as i could. well, God arranged that. and the day after we got home, we see the pastor at a table next to us at central market. so go up to him, hes excited, were excited, we tell him about mexico and what Gods doing, he feels bad for us, we tell him not to, and im just pumped. thinking what is God doing? this is crazy.
so we are in the works of getting plugged in at the Austin Stone and we join a community bible study group. now before i get into this let me tell you what else Gods doing.
amy and i have wanted to get a place of our own simply because we like the fellowship and she doesnt live with believers so i mean really what fellowship has light with darkness. so were like ya that sounds cool but you dont have a job, car or credit to get an apartment. so God took care of that. i shouldnt be this suprised as He promises seek first the kingdom of God and all these things will be added unto you.
out of the blue, my manager just decides to give her another chance(she worked there before, *was a no-show tho*, for whatever reason hes like 'ya come on just tell her to come talk to me and ill give her a job.' she starts monday, and we got one down.
then her sister decides she wants a new car, and suggests amy buy her old one for just $500. and we got two down.
then as we join the email list for our new bible study group, we get this an email that also says that the bible study leader would like to lease out her apartment for this summer for $500 a month. and they are seriously way ritsy. and im just in awe of God. 3 down!!
and God worked out these details in just a week. Hes crazy, and Hes doing some cool stuff. we have a place to stay, nice might i add, way more than i would ever ask God to do. and we have a place to fellowship at all hours of the day, we have a place that is not meant for laying around watching tv, but to enjoy God and center our time around Him. i cant wait, things will be different than they are in my home. the tv will not be on all day. who am i?! i think i sound like an adult. anyway Gods totally been pulling me away from tv and radio. im so clueless about the world i live in.
we move-in in about 3 weeks. God totally hooked us up. theres absolutely no reason i should walk by sight, i could have never put this together. walking by faith is where its at. cause God-size things happen and He blows my mind.
the cool part about it is that when i was in bliss of all that Gods doing i showed up at work telling them how all this happened cause God is cool. and they were like man you are blessed, i think i should start going to church. ;)
