Your faith has saved you!
faith is absolutely so crucial to the believer. im so shocked that people dont embrace His grace in causing us belief that He is God. for some reason, they insist that there has got to be more to the christian life than pure belief. i can hardly take it. we are incapable of any good! there is only One who is good?!
im becoming obsessed with the gospel. look at what the gospel means for those who believe: "..to whom God willed to make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory."(colossians 1:27)
when we were helpless(rom. 5:6), dead in our sins(col. 2:13), the Son of Man came to seek and save that which was lost(luke 19:10).
all because He grants us faith when we have no hope or clue what it means to live. why must people insist that God requires more? could there possibly be more God needs to do? He makes us alive and causes us to live by faith in the Son of God!
how did Christ heal, He never once said "you will be saved if you just have faith and try as hard as you can." no because these are contradictory. if you have faith, you realize that your only hope is Christ! i dont meet Gods standards, living by faith is my hope. its all ive got that is pleasing to God. He is my only hope of glory. the gospel was never meant to be a tag team of efforts, this is just ridiculous. check it out if you dont believe me...heres a few passages of Christ healing and saving, faith is how Christ saves.
