Holiday card and gift thanks

Thanks to luvmax1 for the beautiful card and book. The book, "Girlfriends are the Best Friends of All" is filled with quotes, poems, and observations about friendship between women. I *love* books like that.
mrs_sweetpeach's gift arrived at the right time as always. Saturday morning, it was freezing here. I was getting over my cold, and had just gotten my sense of taste back. I had just sat down with a cup of tea when the FedEx guy knocked at the door with a huge box in hand. It contained the most beautiful afghan, and Dutch Stroopwafels (caramel wafers - - I got 1 tin last year, and 2 this year, so I must've been very good). So, I promptly snuggled up with my afghan, and had tea and caramel wafers.
