Sookie Stackhouse books vs True Blood
So, anyone who has read the Sookie Stackhouse books... um, do they get better? I listened to the first one on audiobook, and it was okay. Then I get to the second one and Lafayette practically dies on the first page! I'm going with the TV show, which is better IMO, as canon. Plus the narrator is AWFUL at southern accents, especially male ones. They all sound like they're drunk and slurring their words.
