Heart of Darkness is finished with, and I'm ten chapters into The Moonstone now. I might manage to read most of the set texts yet! I finished The Picture of Dorian Gray last night. It was creepy without trying too hard, and I loved it. For some reason, though, I couldn't help but picture all the main characters as Yu Watase style sparkly bishounen. Which made it even more entertaining. Dorian = Nagako y/y? I've been reading The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time, and it's such a good book that I read it in the bath until my water went cold and I started shivering. My mother was the one who bought it - because she works with Autistic children, she's always interested in books that are about special needs or incorporate them into the story. ( Read more... )

Got volume three, and I'm still absolutely LOVING Skip-Beat. Kyoko and her demons are as awesome as ever, but Ren is fast becoming my favourite character. I love how he smiles so sweetly at someone when they're annoying him, and how he smiles when he comes out with snarky comments.
