Kinda ironic, dontcha think?
When I was little, around the age of 9 or 10, the New Kids on the Black were introduced to me. I remember being babysat by the best sitter ever, Lisa Ensz. She took us to one of her cheer leading practices and on the way they came on the radio with Hangin Tough. I fell in love. At first I liked Jordan Knight. Then rumors started circulating amongst us elementary school kids that he was gay. This was disgusting to me at the time because I didn't know any better. So my love changed to his brother Jon. At the time this sort of sucked because all the merchandise that was out was of the whole group or of Donnie, Jordan and Joe. Very frustrating for my 10 year old self....lol Fast forward to now and it turns out that Jon was the gay one....lmao. It doesn't really matter anyways cause I have since realized that I am gay myself. So funny how it all turned out. I guess maybe I was drawn to him for other reasons beyond having a simple 'crush':-)
