Am I wrong to be fed up with rich people? One of my favorite channels is Bravo. However recently shows like Million Dollar Listing (which I am currently watching), ALL the damn Housewives shows, and basically any other show about them just pisses me off. Am I jealous?, you may ask. I guess I sort of am but not in the way you may think. You see I am jealous that they can travel where and when they want, they can go into any profession they want (for the most part), they can give to any charity they want (if they decide to at all). Now if I could do all that without being a millionaire then awesome! I would not be jealous of them at all. But in the wonderful US of A it seems not everyone has the same opportunities therefore not everyone is equal, as the Constitution states. They have the world in the palm of their hands.
So yes jealousy is a part of it, but not my major gripe. My major complaint is that these multimillionaires do not realize that the more money they have, the less money others have. Wealth is a zero sum game. That makes them are part of the poverty problem in the world. Or maybe they do know it and just don't care. Which actually pisses me off even more that they are rewarded in this world for their greed and selfishness.
Some may say, "they work hard for their money." I say bullshit. You can't tell me that they work any harder than most people. I'd say most have their money just because they were lucky and met the right people in life which opened up good opportunities for them. So why do they deserve more than anyone else? That is why I say we should tax them much higher than anyone else. But guess what! A lot of the people in Congress are of this wealthy elite so that will probably never fly. Average Americans are too brainwashed to realize that this needs to happen. They buy into the lie that if you just work hard enough you to can be rich and achieve the American dream! Such bullshit.
What comforts me is knowing that karmic debt will need to be paid in future lives. In many of these people's next lives they may be dirt poor. In fact I wouldn't be surprised if I was rich in a past life, poor in this one and therefore I have become aware of this problem. It is just frustrating to no end, their lack of awareness and consideration for humanity.
