So, apparently there's this small town in Japan that was facing bankruptcy and a huge economic slowdown when the people at the train station got this idea to promote a cat as the Station Master, and suddenly, BOOM, people came from miles and miles around to see this cat with a small conductors hat, and buy the various merchandise that bears it's ( Read more... )

So, I jury rigged a trap, basically consisting of a board (used as a ramp) leading up to a  long slender plastic container with a empty toilet paper roll with some peanut butter inside.  I put a thin dry wipe underneath the toilet roll that BARELY supports it's weight.  In theory, when the mouse comes to get the peanut butter, he'll go into the ( Read more... )

Okay, this is interesting... apparently there's a duck born with FOUR legs.  It's a rare mutation.  Course, you know, if this helps the duck survive and give birth to more little ducks, in the future ALL ducks may have four legs.  (Course that'd take a little while.)
