Catching up...
.Wow, been away for a bit. According to the info bar at the top of my screen, I have 191 messages in my box. I've got it set up to notify me whenever my friends post new entries or change their userpics, so that combined with how long it's been since I've actually visited, I guess it starts to pile up after awhile.
One fellow I know makes about four or five posts a week, but mainly on local sporting events and stuff. I usually just skim through that kind of thing. Another young lady who, I care about deeply, but she has this habit of filling endless surveys and posting them. Never really could get into those, so, again, I skim or sometimes skip. I've probably missed a few juicy questions she may have answered but still...
I don't know, I prefer it when people are talking about what's going in their lives and more personal stuff. This one guy I used to be LJ friends all he'd EVER talk about for the most part of politics. Which is fine, it's his journal, he can type about whatever he wants, it just didn't for really good reading, especially when his opinion were pretty... how should I put this? Well, simplistic, really. I mean, everything he posted was pretty much the standard "stock" lines, with no real support or thought to WHY he felt that way.
I mean, I'd like to think that in the (usually rare) instances I babble on with my political beliefs, I at least give some back up details to why I feel that way, and leave room for myself to be corrected on some point, and not just go, "So and so SUCKS! They're liars!! I hate them!!" over and over again.
