Well, it's been a while. Don't have anything really new or exciting to report.

I still, for the most part, have been working out 3 days a week doing Power 90. I do a few weeks of Sculpting (weight training) and then switch back to Cardio for a week. It ultimately all depends on the mood I'm in.

That has to the hardest part of exercising, your mental status. I don't mean as in crazy but as in being able to push past the "eh... I don't want to do this, let's just skip today" kind of mentality. I suffer from this almost every day that I wake up on a work out day. And it is my biggest enemy in trying to stay fit.

I think anyone who can ignore those nags from their mind will be able to eventually push through. Perhaps I just need a more challenging work out program. Not that Power 90 isn't challenging, it's just I've done it before and it becomes repetitious. I am still very much challenged by Power 90, despite it being a "Beginner Boot Camp" for fitness.

When I first started, my weights were 15s and 10s. In the last 45 days or so I've worked up to using 35s and 15s on a regular basis. I'd say that's progress at least.

The diet is somehow sticking to me. I haven't technically being dieting, as I've mentioned in previous blogs. Though in this case in the last 30 days I haven't really been paying all that much attention to my eating habits either. It's October and that means Oktoberfest for me. That means beer, lots of it. Oh, and lots of food.

I know I won't keep it forever but to this day I am still averaging 185-186lbs a week, despite indulging heavily in all of the above. So it makes me wonder how things will go when I jump back on the wagon here later this month.

I think that's what makes me feel the best. I have eaten a lot and drank myself stupid a few times in the last few weeks, but then to weigh in and see myself at 186lbs even after all that? That's amazing, to me, and encouraging. It's encouraging to know I can have several indulgence days without wrecking my body.

Speaking of body, I'm still not happy with my midsection. I still see and clasp so much fat, despite doing short ab workouts (Ab Ripper program in the Power 90 program). Yes, I can kind of see abs after I work out and flex really hard (c'mon, it's a guy thing!) but only during those times.

I'm not sure what program I want to tackle next really. I would like to stick something targeting my midsection more than anything. Maybe something like RevAbs or similar.

Either way I won't be taking up any programs until after this month anyways. Once I'm settled back in from vacations later this month, plus month long Oktoberfest-ing, I will jump into a new program and probably have an idea what at that rate.

Hoo-rah for staying 185-186lb after all the binging. o.O ,v,
